App Store screenshot sizes in late 2026: the new required slot and iPhone Duo

If your App Store Connect screenshot upload keeps failing with "The dimensions of one or more screenshots are wrong", the rules have probably changed since you last checked. Here's what's current, based on Apple's screenshot specifications as of November 1, 2026. The only two required slots iPhone: at least one screenshot for iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display), which is 1206 × 2622 or 1179 × 2556 in portrait. iPad (only if your app runs on iPad): iPad 13-inch, which is 2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732. App Store Connect scales these down for every other size. You only need to upload more sets if you want screenshots tailored to a specific device. iPhone Duo Display Portrait Landscape Outer 1398 × 2034 2034 × 1398 Inner 2007 × 2853 2853 × 2007 Apple's iPhone Duo news post says that starting April 2027, apps and games submitted will need iPhone Duo screenshots. The specs page narrows that to apps built with the iOS 27.1 SDK or later. If you submit them, your product page gets an "optimized for iPhone Duo" badge. Format gotchas that cause rejections PNG or JPEG only, and no alpha channel. Simulator captures with rounded corners are a common culprit. Re-export without alpha. Up to 10 screenshots per device size. Landscape sizes are the same numbers swapped. If you use the Simulator, set Window → Physical Size before you capture, so the screenshot isn't scaled. A quick check before you upload sips -g pixelWidth -g pixelHeight -g hasAlpha *.png Full table I keep the full table (Apple Watch, Mac, TV and Vision Pro included) plus a CSV here: https://duoshot.site/en/guides/app-store-screenshot-sizes Disclosure: I make DuoShot, a screenshot generator that exports these sizes, including iPhone Duo. Everything above applies whatever tool you use.
