North Korea fires missiles after Trump touts meeting with Kim Jong-un this year

North Korea fired 10 ballistic missiles towards the sea on Thursday, Japan said, a day after US President Donald Trump said he plans to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un later this year, seeking to revive their first-term relationship. Trump said it was important to “get along” with Kim and claimed Pyongyang possessed 57 “very powerful” nuclear weapons, amid concerns among US allies.
